I have not said anything on itch.io for a while, so I’m announcing what’s upcoming. One thing I have to point out is that I found out that 2 people on YouTube have made gameplay videos of Heaven Saga and they made some jokes that I found it to be offensive, especially since I’m a Christian myself. So I want to be clear, this game is mainly a work of fiction, and it is associated with a religion but that does not necessarily mean that it supposed to ruin the Sonic fandom. Of course, the game itself is silly, so many people would kind it incredibly awkward but the new build I’m about to announce will change that.

Anyways, what I’m about to announce is that the new Heaven Saga build will be coming soon as it is close it it’s stable point. As I have already announced this on GameJolt and on my Discord server, the team behind Heaven Saga is proud to announce that the NEW project is about 80% complete and can’t wait to release it. And like I mentioned on my previous post, Heaven Saga has been completely redone from scratch because the current public version (“v1.0.0.0”) has been postponed due to inconsistent and sloppy artwork, spritework, and disorganization. It doesn’t fit well for today’s standards anymore, plus, the team’s skill has been drastically improved over the past months. So, in the late 2022, my girlfriend (who’s the main creator and director of Heaven Saga) have stated that Heaven Saga needs to be reworked entirely. I guess it’s true what they say, “sometimes a fresh start makes it better“.

This new will feature improved artwork, brand new sprites, more mature dialogues, animated cutscenes, and so much more. We’ve also made lots of performance optimizations to keep the game running smoothly at 60 FPS. And more importantly, as this project was built exclusively with TurboWarp, several custom extensions has been installed to push the Scratch engine FAR beyond its limits.

One thing I have to note is that since Heaven Saga now has the GameJolt API extension, we’re discussing if the game is supported on itch.io. If it doesn’t, then maybe we’ll have to leave a link that goes to the GameJolt page.

With that being said, some people are already exited for this new build. And also, for security reasons,  all of the pixilated sprites from the OG version will be removed entirely. They just don’t belong to the game. The Ages Team is currently focusing more on originality. So, you can expect the new upcoming build to be far more superior, We’ve planned to add intense combat fights and cutscene to spice the game up more.
